How does Clip-on Pro™ work?

The folio is simple to use. It hangs on your bag, so it’s easily at hand. The quick-release clip makes it a snap to carry with you wherever you want to go on the course. The magnetic closure keeps opening and closing quiet and considerate (unlike an early prototype which enabled unwelcomed Velcro riiiiiips during our playing partners’ backswing).

The Shot Guides have a novel indexing and organization system that make it quick, simple and fulfilling to consume the tips. Sort of like fast food, only with a healthier, more positive yield.

Is Clip-on Pro™ just for beginners?

Nope, in our tests, golfers from 12 handicappers and up, all benefited from the coaching tips in Clip-on Pro™. In fact, better golfers showed a bit more appreciation for the guidance as their saved stroke means a lot more to them than those of us who are eyeing the under side of 100.

In fact, much to our surprise, single-digit index golfers also really liked the design and presentation of tips. They especially liked the idea of their non-single-digit-index playing partners using Clip-on Pro™ to speed up their rounds by taking less shots, thanks to a greater percentage of better executed tough shots.

I hate slow play. Doesn’t Clip-on Pro™ slow down play?

We abhor slow play and love ready golf! The key design criteria for Clip-on Pro™ was that individual tips needed to be accessible and consumable in 10 seconds or less. We advocate finding your shot tips while approaching your ball, or while another member of your group is playing his or her shot.

What do I do with extra Shot Guides?

The folio is designed to hold up to 4 Shot Guides, which can be rotated to best suit your game on a round-by-round basis . Our on-course tests showed that this best satisfied the golfer’s needs and addressed our pace of play goals.

We have two solutions for handling your extra Shot Guides: First, either store additional Guides in a side pocket of your golf bag, or place them in a second Clip-on Pro™ Folio, which you can hang on your bag or store in a golf bag pocket.

As we publish additional Shot Guides, we also are planning to produce a storage case as well.

How do I use the Game Improvement Tracker™?

Lots of instructors encourage students to track their successes and, well, their not so successes, during a round. There is no better way to identify which parts of your game are going well, and which could use additional work. Did you hit 10 fairways but still shoot over 90? How many shots did you tally from 100 yards in? How many putts? The Tracker is a wonderful way to chart your progress over time.

Can I use my Clip-on Pro™ when I play in lousy weather?

Absolutely! One of our key development decisions was to use a high-grade, synthetic paper that is both waterproof and rip-proof. In nasty rain, you may want to slide the Tracker pad into a pocket of your bag but the Shot Guides certainly will weather any weather.

Can I use Clip-on Pro™ while playing in a sanctioned event?

Probably not, at least not until you see Tiger or Annika with a Clip-on Pro™ on their bag during a sanctioned tour event. That said, the guidance offered in the Shot Guides is really quite similar to how a good caddie would support his charge on the course. And after all, how many of the rounds we play are in sanctioned competitive events? Put Clip-on Pro™ away for those rounds, and count on it for the other 95+% you play.
